Ми защото не произвеждат собствени подводни светкавици. TTL конверторите работят с определена марка светкавици. Този на Ikelite работи само с DS светкавиците на Ikelite. Боксът на олимпус ще работи в режим TTL само със светкавица на Олимпус поставена в някой от боксовете за светкавици на същата марка.
ПринципноTTL може да се предава и през фибро-оптичен но само определени светкавици го поддържат - и не знам как се справят... Те четат preflash-а на основната светкавица, което само по себе си не е добре - най-добре е основната светкавица да бъде напълно елиминирана заради снежинките...
Боксът на Олимпус е чудесен, но мен лично ме притеснява ограничения набор от портове за обективи - само 5.

Ванка това определено ще е проблем за Олимпуса,ако няма портове за него.Аз се спрях сега за новия ми G10 на бокс на Ikelite за мога да използвам TTL-а му и нова външна светкавица DS-160 или DS-200,още малко се колебая ама май ще е 160.

Ванка а ти как мислиш,какво би станало ако за другата дръжка на бокса(нали моя ще е с две) прикрепя и моята светкавица,която се задейстава със сензор.Дали ще прецаква работа или ще подобрява още повече нещата,например в дълбокото или при нощните ми снимки?

Тва е за друга тема Ивчо, но твоя бокс ще е с една ръкохватка.
Удобството на това, че имаш другата светкавица ще е, че при дневни плитки снимки, когато се чудиш дали изобщо има нужда от светкавица ще можеш да откачаш и закачаш другата без проблем и във водата - без кабел е..

Да прав си батка.И една дръжка ще ми свърши работа,аз нали на бокса за видео камерата имам две,което прави излишно закупуването на двойна дръжка,тъй като тази на Ikelite,която е на на бокса ми може да се сваля безпроблемно.Чакай сега да пусна две новости на,които съм хвърлил око,за по нататък.

* The clear polycarbonate case is contoured to the camera, durable, and completely corrosion free. Unlike aluminum housings there is a clear view of the main o-ring seal, port o-ring seal, camera controls, and dry inside. Mechanical controls are kept water-tight with Ikelite pioneered Quad-Ring seal glands—proven to be the most reliable method of sealing controls. The housing is fully functional to a depth rating of 200 feet (60m). The housing is only slightly negative in salt water depending on choice of lens port.
•Housing measures 9.5" (24cm) wide w/ knobs; or 13.25" (33cm) wide w/ tray & handles.
•Housing measures 6.75" (17cm) high; or 8" (20cm) high w/ tray & handles.

Готиното при първия(D700) е че ще мога да използвам някои от нещата които имам на Ikelite.Но пък другият бокс е направо уникален.

Ikelite пуликува техническата информация за дългоочаквания бокс за Canon G10.
Боксът е изработен от траен прозрачен поликарбонат и е подходящ за работа в дълбочина до 60м.
Достъпни са всички функции на фотоапарата. Теглото на апарата заедно с бокса е по-малко от 2.7кг. Широчината е ~18см. без ръкохватката, височината и дълбочината е ~15 см.
Боксът идва стандартно с плосък порт от оптическо стъкло, който позволява да се снима без винетиране в пълния диапазон на зуум-а. Canon G10 е с 28мм. широкоъгълна леща, което е дори повече от 35мм. леща на Canon G9. Поради тази причина липсват и външни широкоъгълни лещи - дори и най-късата вншна леща не би могла да допринесе.
Поради широчината на порта, голяма част от светлината от вградената светкавица се блокира (проблем присъщ на всички боксове за G-серията). Препоръчва се използването на външна светкавица.
Боксът е с вграден конвертор, който позвоява автоматична Canon eTTL експозиция с който и да е от моделите DS светкавици на Ikelite. За TTL Ikelite препоръчва с този апарат да се снима в режими на приоритет на затвора (Тv) или приоритет на блендата (Av) тъй като G-серията не предлага режим TTL в ръчния режим (М) дори и на вградената светкавица.
